The Unlikely Visionary

You know what my first thoughts were when God told me He wanted to use me to minister to people? They were, "Me? Felicia Dennis? God, are you really sure you wanna use me? Why?" Then I cried like a big old baby. The call made me feel very flawed and humbled. I looked at what seemed to be a tiny testimony and powerlessness. How could God use me? The only thing that seemed remotely like a ministry gift that I had was the gift of helps. Helpers aren't ministers... right? Clergy collars just don't look good on me and getting a title has never enticed me. Pulpits are cool; I just never spent much time in them. My speech is most often too goofy or too sweet to have any ministerial value... right? As a few years past I just kinda didn't talk to God about it much and kinda figured he had forgotten this silly idea of me being a minister. That was fine by me. Yeah Lord use me, but let's not make a big deal out of it. Then last year He starts nudging me... one thing lead to another... God spoke... and Release Ministry was born. It's been a wonderful blessing to my life. Plus, it's just gettin started. (Zechariah4:10)

I've had a few people tell me, "Felicia, you should write a book." The only reason they told me this is probably because I was talking them to def. But after thinking about it, it seemed like a pretty good idea. Now after a few years my first book is finally underway. It won't be a novel, and I won't exactly be preaching you to def. Just wanna share some of my thoughts with you. The ideas are coming pretty steady, but it doesn't have a working title yet. My plan is to have it ready for REALEASE by my birthday (April 6).
